Dr Jörg Thamm offers a local surgical referral service in Tauranga operating out of KoruVets at Mount Maunganui (Mount Vet Hospital). Dr Jörg’s experience and the exceptionally well designed and equipped hospital enables Animal Referral Services (ART) to deal with most surgical cases ensuring a positive outcome by filling the gap between services offered by primary veterinary caregivers (Veterinary GP’s) and those offered by veterinary specialists.  
 
Advantages include that your furry family member is treated and cared for in a familiar environment close to home and being able to offer the services at a lower cost compared to those required by specialist centre’s in the big cities. ART endeavors to always fully inform you of all treatment options, their costs and the likely outcomes including the option to refer to a specialist in Hamilton or Auckland.
 
 We are not a substitute for your primary care veterinarian and as such we require a referral from your primary veterinarian before taking on a case. ART will work closely and communicate with your primary care veterinarian and keep them well informed of case development to ensure your pet receives the best care possible.
